Srinagar, Oct 19 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir minister Javed Ahmad Rana Saturday said that the cabinet has not done anything secretly and that a decision was taken by it and the same was conveyed to the Governmentq of India. Speaking with reporters, Rana said that the government will continue to fight for the guarantees and rights politically and there has been no u-turn on any stance. “We will continue to fight for the guarantees and rights granted by the Constitution of India,” Rana said. As per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he also reacted to the resolution passed in the cabinet, stating that nothing has been done secretly, and a decision was taken that was conveyed to the Centre He added that they are hopeful that the Centre, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi will stick to the promises and ensure restoration of statehood to J&K at an earliest. Meanwhile, talking to KNO, Rana has said that the government is committed to restore the lost status of J&K, adding that there is a direction from the Supreme Court in this regard, but no time line has been given yet. He added that no State has been downgraded to Union Territory except J&K, but whatever the party has mentioned in the manifesto will be worked on and in the time-bound manner, every issue will be looked into and resolved. Asked about the statements from opposition leaders over change in NC’s stance, he said that the government is answerable to the people and everything will be done in a proper way. Rana also said that the gaps in the last ten years will be filled during this government, but said that it will take some time to streamline the issues and things gradually. The Minister also assured the people that all problems being faced by them will be resolved in time-bound manner, saying that directions have been already passed to the officers in this regard—(KNO)
